The Jaguars, Who Have Lost Three In A Row, Are Not Panic

With three straight losses to AFC North opponents, the Jaguars' road to the playoffs has become more difficult.

Last year at this time, the Jaguars were 5-8 and had to win every game of the remaining two months just to get into the playoffs. And a year later, the Big Cats are showing their appreciation of the situation.
Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence said, "If we could've been in this situation last year, we would have happily given up a lot to be here right now." So no panic, but a sense of urgency; now December going into January, that's when you got to be playing your best football, and we don't have that now, so we've got some work to do.

As Jaguars tight end Evan Engram says, It is adversity; that's what life is all about. That's what this league is all about. So yeh, obviously we get the guys in here to figure it out and respond and turn things around. It's fine. We're sitting at 8 and 5, and everyone knows we can be better, so we're going to go out there and try to bounce back and get back in the win column.

The Jaguars are tied with the division lead, but hold all the tiebreakers, so they have their own destiny.

So winning the division is one of our primary objectives in this division, outside linebacker Dawuane Smoot of the Jaguars. That's something that we're leading right now in the division, and we're trying to preserve this lead. Therefore, we've got a great future ahead of us, so there's no panic. Jaguars linebacker Foye Oluokoun says, "I feel like a lot of us have been through much worse in this league." So just stay positive, and we know what it can be like once things start. Actually, it's up to us. It's not the coaches 'call. It's not in the hands of the fans. That's up to everybody in this locker room to make plays when they come to them and to play together. Therefore, if everything that we can control is on us, then there's no need to panic.

If the Jaguars win their last three regular season games, they're in the playoffs, and that road starts in Tampa Bay on Sunday, Dec. 27.
