Top Performing Florida School Districts Excel in FAST Exams for Second Year

Beginning on July 29, new trash cans will be delivered to houses in Clay County. Everyone will receive their new cans in seven to eight weeks. However, the county advised that you please don't use them straight away. The new containers are for FCC Environmental, which will assume control of the county's curbside collection services on October 1.

According to the county, residents should wait until October to start using the new cans as the present business will not be collecting the FCC Environmental cans.

How much time will it take to receive the new trash cans?

Crews will deliver all cans. By September 23, leave the new can in front of your house.
It is advised that neighbors refrain from using the new garbage cans until October 1, as the business in charge of curbside collection services will not pick up any waste placed in the FCC's new cans.

What can be done with old cans by neighbors?

After October 1, when they start using their new cans, neighbors are still allowed to use the old cans for yard garbage. The old can also be brought to the Rosemary Hill Facility or any of the county's Environmental Convenience Centers, where workers will dispose of it during regular business hours.

Which size do these cans have?

In addition to the 95-gallon cans, a 65-gallon can is available. After November 1, residents can get in touch with the FCC by calling 904-490-9996 to request an alternative can.

How will their pickup day be communicated to neighbors?

FCC Environmental will make this information available online for neighbors to view. Crews will pick up trash and yard waste that same day.

How much do these services cost?

The non-ad Collection Assessment, which will be $262 per year, will be charged to residents' annual tax bills.

Additionally, neighbors are welcome to donate an additional 500 pounds of bagged trash per household every month to the Rosemary Hill Facility and make one free journey each day per home to the Environmental Convenience Centers with additional bags of trash.
