Jacksonville Gets Superhero Fun at First Coast Comic Con

Introduction

First Coast Comic Con gave comic book lovers a chance to unleash their inner superhero on Saturday. The event, which featured artists and other notable people showcasing some of their work, was hosted at the University of North Florida for the first time.

From Marvel to Star Wars, and all points in between. Co-promoter Michael Taylor stated, “We’re here today to celebrate comics and all the related fandoms that involve the media.” The enthusiasm for superheroes in the area was heightened by First Coast Comic Con.

“I believe it’s critical that the comic community in Jacksonville have it. Because there’s no major comic book event for collectors and even pop culture aficionados, it can feel a little ignored at times, co-promoter Denny Courson said.

Celebration

Hundreds of people swarmed the UNF campus’s university center, many of them costumed like their beloved characters, as they moved around in search of toys and comics.
Some of the individuals we spoke with were only seeking an excuse to spend time with the ones they cared about. Chris Munoz and his three children arrived.

“Since I am the Batman!” King, the six-year-old son of Chris, stated. Munoz called this encounter “exciting.” Since it provides us with activities, I find it enjoyable. It’s a wonderful household because we can do a lot of the things that I’ve been into there with each other as well,” Munoz remarked.

Future Plans

According to Chris, they had been attending these kinds of gatherings for almost two years. Finding King something connected to Miles Morales’s Spiderman was the aim for Saturday.
It is quite significant. Having activities with your family is vital, especially when they’re not at home. These get the kids pumped up and thrilled, and by the time we bring them home, maybe they’ll be exhausted and ready for a nap,” Munoz said.

Munoz can now inspire the next generation with his devotion. “Oh my god, ever since I can remember, I think I was six years old when I picked up my first comic book, and I’m 41 now,” Munoz remarked. Making memories that they will always cherish. It took over a year, according to the organizers, to put the event together. They have already stated that they intend to have a larger and better setup for the next year.
